Julie is originally from Shediac, New Brunswick, and joined Fidelis Law as an articling student in 2021. She received her Juris Doctor from the Université de Moncton and will be called to the New Brunswick Bar in 2022. Prior to attending law school, she studied criminology at the University of Alberta.
As an articling student, Julie assists lawyers with various mandates by conducting legal research and analysis, preparing correspondence and procedural documents, attending examinations for discovery, mediations, and pre-trial settlement conferences, and conducting interviews with current and potential clients.
Julie has personally seen the devastating effects of a motor vehicle accident on a victim and their loved ones, which drives her to work unwaveringly to achieve the best possible outcome for clients.
“Developing great relationships with clients and meeting their needs is my top priority.”
Before joining Fidelis, Julie spent several years working in a variety of fields, including marketing, healthcare, and customer service, which has given her a solution-oriented mindset and a desire for continuous learning. Growing up, Julie always had a curious nature and a need to understand the “why” behind everything. Her mindfulness, empathetic nature, and determination allow her to use the law as a tool to overcome injustice.
Outside of work, Julie enjoys boating, kayaking and paddle boarding with family and friends, and reading biographies and autobiographies.
